Executive Function Skills play an integral role in goal-directed behavior, problem-solving, decision-making, and self-regulation. They impact our academic and career achievement, social interactions and overall emotional well-being. Individuals with well-developed executive functioning skills tend to manage complex tasks and time more efficiently and interact with others more confidently and effectively.
At Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. our program was developed by a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Clinical Social Workers with experience in the assessment and treatment of executive function skills in the pediatric and adult populations. Our program is offered to individuals age 10 through adulthood, is individualized based on personal strengths and interests, and incorporates visual and kinesthetic learning to foster success and independence with skills across settings. We offer an 8-week wellness/skill-building program or flexible programming based upon individual needs and goals.
Look out for our Executive Function Bootcamps, typically offered during the summer, designed for students ages 10 through adulthood. This structured program includes six targeted lessons that build essential executive functioning skills across key areas: organization, task planning and sequencing, time estimation, attention and working memory, goal setting, and self-monitoring (becoming your own coach).
This program is designed to equip students and caregivers with practical strategies and a clear framework to strengthen academic performance, independence, and overall learning success.
