Post Covid Recovery Program

COVID-19 can have devastating and long-term impacts on your body and mind. At Rehabilitation Associates, our highly trained group of therapists conduct thorough assessments, establishing programs tailored to your specific needs. This may include:

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Lingering deficits – chronic fatigue, aches, shortness of breath, and difficulty walking – can make it difficult to re-turn to pre-COVID activities. These are deficits that can be addressed by physical therapy. Our team of physical therapists can help by tailoring an individual program to address your unique needs.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Did you know COVD-19 can affect your swallowing, your voice quality, and even your cognition? Our Speech-Language Pathologists will create an individualized program that focuses on your recovery as well as compensatory strategies, tailored to help you return to your day-to-day life.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

The lasting effects of COVID-19 can impact your energy levels, your ability to focus, your breath capacity, and your upper body strength. All of these symptoms can make it difficult to take care of your daily needs, function at work, and enjoy time with friends and family. Occupational Therapy specializes in helping people return to their daily activities through therapeutic intervention and compensatory techniques.

CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK

In the three months following a positive COVID-19 test, 1 in 5 survivors was found to have received a diagnosis of anxiety, depression, or insomnia. Our Clinical Social Workers can help you navigate the difficult emotions that you may be experiencing at this time.

MEDICAL NUTRITION THERAPY

Our Registered Dietitian provides customized nutrition plans to help you regain muscle lost during illness and to provide the necessary nutrients for a strong immune system. Our nutrition-al services also address serious health problems that are associated with more severe symptoms of COVID-19 such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity.
