The Neurologic Programs at Rehabilitation Associates, Inc. are designed for individuals with a variety of neurological impairments. First, a detailed initial assessment of each patient is performed by an experienced, licensed clinician. A comprehensive, individualized treatment plan is then developed in conjunction with our team of Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Clinical Social Workers, Dieticians and consulting Physicians. The goal of our therapy program is to maximize a patient’s ability to function in terms of communication, cognition, and motor abilities in everyday life.
Typical diagnoses treated include:
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Guillian Barre
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Head Injury
- Post Polio Syndrome
- Huntington’s Disease
- Myasthenia Gravis
- Cerebral Palsy and other disorders of gait and mobility
- Medical and infectious disease processes which can lead to neurological damage
Our patients will participate in the program(s) that best suit their needs: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social work, and Nutrition. During each session, our patients work on-one-one with their therapist to achieve their customized plan goals.
